La Primitiva is a lottery game based on predicting six numbers out of a possible 49. The game of La Primitiva goes back to the origins of Spanish lottery in 1763.
La Primitiva rules are very simple. The game consists of predicting six numbers from a table containing 49 squares, numbered 1 to 49.
Additionally, simple or multiple bets can be made. In a single 6 numbers must be predicted and you can play as many columns as you want. You can also make multiple bets using only the first of the expected columns, and mark it 7 or more numbers up to a maximum of 11.
Apart from these bets, it’s also possible to play 5 numbers in an official ticket, this being a multiple bet in which the missing number is always automatically correct. In this case, it would be the equivalent of making 44 bets.
La Primitiva refund is a number randomly assigned by the system at the time of validating the bet.
The prize consists of a fixed payment equivalent to the amount for a simple bet, for each and every one of the tickets containing that number that is extracted from a second drum containing balls numbered 0 to 9.
New market trends make playing la Primitiva as simple as navigating the internet.
From the comfort of your own home, place of work or leisure, with a simple internet connection, you can have immediate access to place bets on all lotteries and, of course, on the Primitiva.
There are plenty of advantages to playing online:
The special category prize, also known as a jackpot, always starts from a guaranteed minimum of €2,000,000.
In the event that there is no winner of the maximum category in a draw, the amount is accumulated for the next draw in that same category until someone eventually hits the big prize.
The first jackpot paid in La Primitiva history was 62 million pesetas (around over 372,000 €). The largest jackpot paid to date was 101,724,559.10 € that had a single winner in Barcelona, on October 15th, 2015.
The “joker”, is an optional game associated with the Primitive that has been available since 2012.
When the physical ticket is played and you wish to play also the Joker, you will simply need to check the corresponding box. The system will automatically and randomly assign La Primitiva ticket a combination of 7 digits ranging from 0.000.000 to 9.999.999, both inclusive. That number is unique, so more than one winner of the first category is not possible.
The draw is made by extracting seven balls from a different drum to the one used for the primitive draw. That drum contains 10 balls numbered 0 to 9. After each extraction, the ball is reintroduced in the drum, meaning the same ball may come out on more than one occasion.
To obtain a prize, the numbers must coincide in the same order as those drawn in the draw.
There are six prize categories, with a fixed allocation for each category.
